The decision to euthanize a dog, cat or any other loved pet is a very tough decision to make. We make every effort to help guide you through the decision-making process to help ensure that you are comfortable with the decision. The procedure is performed when you as the pet owner and the veterinarian feel it is time.
We give an intramuscular anesthetic injection to begin the process. When your pet is asleep, an additional intravenous injection is administered finalizing the process.
At Mobile Small Animal Clinic, we are happy to allow loved ones to stay with their pet during the procedure, if they so choose. We will do what we can to make the process a little easier on you as well as your pet. We can perform pet euthanasia in your home in the Denver metro area (see our service area map) to help keep your pet as comfortable as possible.
This service is provided and the cost is based on the weight of your pet. Larger pets require more medication therefore costs are reflective of this.
The aftercare of the pet can be handled several different ways. We can leave to up to the discretion of the owner or we offer communal and private cremation. Aftercare services provided are also based on the weight of your pet.
Communal cremation is when you don't get your pet's ashes back.
Private cremation is when you DO get your pet's ashes back.
I am so glad i have found Dr Deckert (Call him Dr Ross by his first name). Sheila his wife who runs the front desk are very helpful, Dr. Jinny Lin was great with my 2 dogs lucky & posey, the service was in the comfort of my own home, sadly Lucky pass away, Dr. Jinny Lin was able provide the last mins care for Lucky, without finding Dr. Deckert, Lucky would have pass away sooner because I was unable to get Lucky in the car to go to the vet. We were able to keep Lucky comfortable at home until he pass away peacefully. It was a good service and the price was reasonable from Dr. Jinny Lin. It was well worth it for the inhouse service & everythings else.
